Developed by faculty co-directors Dr. Simone Pulver and Dr. Linda Adler-Kassner, Yardi EJ is a four-year scholarship program designed to foster belonging and equip students from diverse backgrounds and majors with the analytical, teamwork, and change making skills needed to address complex environmental challenges. Over four years, students move through a structured progression to nurture their growth as environmental change makers, while receiving the support to graduate on time and with little to no debt. This fall, we’ll welcome our inaugural cohort of Yardi EJ Scholars. As we build this new community, we are inspired by the legacy of change making and innovation that has long defined UCSB’s Environmental Studies Program. We look forward to finding meaningful ways for alumni to connect with and support this new generation of diverse environmental change makers.
