One of the advantages of being part of a large university is access to the many departments, centers, and research groups that regularly host lectures and special events across a wide range of topics. Many of these opportunities are free and open to the campus community.

Below is an announcement from UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management highlighting their Spring Quarter seminar series. These talks are designed to foster awareness and meaningful dialogue around pressing environmental issues by featuring leading scholars and practitioners. Bren seminars are open to the public, helping extend these conversations beyond campus and into the broader community.

Announcing the Spring 2026 Bren Seminar Speakers

SPRING 2026 BREN SEMINAR SCHEDULE

To fulfill its goal of expanding awareness of and discussion about important environmental issues, the Bren School regularly presents seminars featuring prominent environmental scholars and practitioners. Bren Seminars are open to the public, thus extending knowledge and generating dialog in the broader community.


Please join us on Mondays from 11:00 - 12:00 PT in Bren Hall 1414. Seminars will be presented in person only, with an option to request access to a recording afterwards for those who cannot attend in person. There will not be a live remote viewing option. More details about individual seminars will follow.
