3)Ā  UCSB CAPS Service - Neurodiverse Support Sessions

We want more people to know about ourĀ Neurodiversity Support Services (NSS), as new appointments slots for this quarter have just opened up! Could you kindly help us by sharing the attached flyer and the following information with your students?

Neurodiversity Support Services (NSS)Ā is aĀ Mental Health Peer Program (MHP)Ā service open to all neurodiverse-identifying UCSB students,Ā no diagnosis required!Ā NSSĀ comes in three forms ofĀ one-on-one peer supportĀ with an MHP:Ā body doubling, accountability & goal setting, and daily planning.Ā

Ā· Body DoublingĀ sessions provide a safe and affirming space for neurodivergent students to make progress on tasks with an MHP acting as a body double to increase focus, motivation, and productivity

Ā· Daily PlanningĀ sessions provide exploration of which types of daily planning or to-do lists work best for you and support setting ā€œSMARTā€ goals that are achievable for YOU.Ā

Ā· Accountability & Goal SettingĀ sessions provide support in setting ā€œSMARTā€ goals that are achievable for YOU, and MHPs can act as your accountability partner and check in with you about progress with your goals.

These sessions are available in person in the MHP space or online via Zoom. Students can sign up for sessions here:Ā http://bit.ly/MHP_NSS

Please let us know if this is not the right email to contact and if there is another address we may send this to. Otherwise, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns by emailing us atĀ mentalhe...@sa.ucsb.eduĀ or direct messaging us on Instagram @ucsbmentalhealthpeers.

5)Ā  LOCAL WINTER INTERNSHIP: Social Media Campaigner For Earth News

Santa Barbara Studios needs an intern to formulate and generate a social media campaign with AI created videos to spur people to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Santa Barbara Studios makes short videos to influence people to act via the YouTube channel Earth News.

The intern will write elaborate text prompts to feed AI-video engines to create many high quality, short videos that may need to be edited. The intern will then need to post the videos regularly to multiple social media platforms to reach a large audience and start a movement.

Ā

Experience Needed: Intern should be a proficient writer and storyteller. Writing scripts and describing scenes to feed AI are paramount. They may need to edit video in Adobe Premiere. AI video generation and audio generation experience valued, but this is a new field that requires the intern to learn these powerful tools quickly.

Time required – 4-8 hours/week from January 22nd to March 19th.

$1,000 Stipend

Deadline to apply – January 20th

Apply to Scott Kipp, Founder of Santa Barbara Studios at scottk...@gmail.com. Include resume, videos created and social media accounts.

Ā

Thanks,

Scott
