The Bren Environmental Leadership program offers undergraduates the opportunity to work side-by-side with environmental professionals and PhD students to build hands-on experience in environmental science and research across a variety of environmental disciplines. These internships are a great opportunity for students looking to develop leadership and job-ready skills in the environmental field.
Program Details:
- Undergraduates collaborate directly with a Bren graduate student on their summer project, and receive one-on-one mentoring
- The undergraduate will receive a $6,500 stipend, in addition to the opportunity to attend weekly professional development workshops and community building events across the summer quarter
- Undergraduate students will prepare short, flash-talk style presentations for the BEL community at the end of the summer and are invited to participate in the Mantell Symposium in Fall
- Most positions are hybrid, last for 10 weeks at 35 hours per week, with exact dates flexible between mid-June to mid-September

It All” Podcast is Now Hiring: Sound / Audio Engineer
The Environment of It All is seeking a skilled and dedicated Audio Engineer to produce high-quality, publishable podcast episodes with training starting this spring!
Position Overview
The Audio Engineer is responsible for the technical side of the podcast, assembling raw audio and polishing edited recordings into final episodes. This role includes attending and recording interviews, compiling audio files, integrating music, and ensuring consistent audio quality across all recordings.
The Audio Engineer will also work closely with the Editing Team and the Host on recording setup, best audio practices, and coordinate equipment use to ensure strong source recordings.
Required Technical Skills
Recording, Microphone setup and monitoring, Basic troubleshooting during sessions, Mixing
EQ, De-essing, Volume automation, Noise reduction, Editing, cutting, and condensing audio
Integrating music and punch-ins, Mastering,

This is an ideal position for a student passionate about science communication who is seeking hands-on experience in podcast production and works well in a small, close-knit team environment.
