share that Tide and Terra (TnT), UCSB's new student-run
environmental zine, is
now open for submissions!
What is Tide and Terra?
Launched in Spring 2025, TnT distributed 80+
print issues
across UCSB and Isla Vista. Our mission is simple: to create an
inclusive,
creative space where students can spotlight their environmental
work — whether
that's research, passion projects, club activities,
volunteering, or anything
in between. As environmental studies students, our work doesn't
fit neatly into
one box, and neither does TnT. We're a creative,
interdisciplinary space
dedicated to showcasing the full range of environmental work
happening on and
off campus.
We are accepting submissions in the form of:
- Short Articles & Opinion Pieces (800-word soft limit)
- Poetry, Photography & Artwork
- Club Spotlights, Book Recommendations, & Recipes
- And more — don't hesitate to reach out with your idea!
If you’re interested in submitting your work or becoming a part of the TnT board, see our submission link: https://forms.gle/gkci98tH7iiqs18L6
Submissions due Friday, April 10th (Week 2, Spring Quarter)
