After the wonderful response to last year’s Fairy House Display, we’re excited to bring it back to Mascoma Lakeside Park as part of Enfield’s 2026 Old Home Day celebration!
During Fairy House Week (July 13–16), Enfield Recreation Department campers will once again create their own fairy houses.  On Friday, July 17, they’ll bring them to the park to be nestled throughout the gardens and along the pathways, where visitors can enjoy them during Old Home Day and throughout the summer.
We’re looking for a little community magic to help make this year’s event extra special.
We’re hoping to find volunteers who would like to:
Create one or more biodegradable fairy houses for the display.
Donate natural materials such as bark, pinecones, acorns, seed pods, twigs, moss, shells, feathers, dried flowers, and other nature-inspired treasures for the campers to use.
Join us on July 17 to help welcome the campers as they install their creations and enjoy some light refreshments.
Whether you’re an experienced fairy house builder or simply enjoy being creative, we’d love to have you join us.

Don’t have time to build a fairy house? A donation of natural materials is just as appreciated. Every pinecone, twig, acorn, seed pod, and handful of moss gives our Enfield Recreation Department campers another opportunity to imagine, create, and build something magical.

If you’d like to help in any way, please reply to this email.
Together, let’s create a magical experience for children, families, and park visitors while celebrating Old Home Day and perhaps begin a community event that grows for years to come.
Thank you!
