The Mascoma
Sailing Club is hosting
Community Sailing on Wednesday, July 8th at 4:30pm at the Mascoma Lakeside Park.
If you want to come
sailing with us, you're welcome to join us. It's a great way to learn about
sailing at no cost. For MSC members, it's an opportunity to get an orientation to Club sloops and to work on your
sailing skills. If you cannot come until later, let me know and I will see if we can accommodate you.
*
Please RSVP* to me so we can be sure to have enough boats available to
accommodate everyone. It will also allow us to notify you if the event
is postponed due to the weather. If there is a postponement, an update
will be sent via email to participants by 3pm the day of the event.
Some details:
- Life jackets will be provided if needed, but please bring your own if you have one.
- Water-friendly footwear is a good idea.
- Participants will need to be able to move from a rowing dinghy into a moored sailboat.
- Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and be
comfortable moving unassisted from a rowing dinghy to the sailboat.
As safety is our first priority, we may not sail if there are high winds, no wind, or if thunderstorms threaten. Currently Weather Underground is predicting light winds , 3-4
