Come join us in the gardens at Mascoma Lakeside Park this Monday morning!

The gardens along the nature trail are part of a community project to create a beautiful, welcoming landscape using native plants that support pollinators and other wildlife. It’s also becoming a living teaching garden—a place where we can learn together about native plants, healthy habitats, and caring for our lakeside environment.

We’ll be there starting around 8:30–9:00 AM for a couple of hours, weeding, tending the gardens, learning about some of our native plants, and tackling those common plants that have a way of showing up where we don’t want them!

And it’s a great time to visit—the great blue lobelia, cardinal flower, swamp milkweed and helenium are all in bloom and the gardens are looking beautiful.

No gardening experience is needed and new faces are always welcome. Bring gloves, water, sun protection and a favorite hand tool if you have one.

Come for an hour or stay for the morning. We’d love to have you!
