Well, I must agree that the service has gone down hill since FedEx did away with corporate employees/delivery staff. Now all FedEx is delivered by a third party company under contract wearing the same uniforms and driving the same trucks. The big difference is the third party companies do not screen the employees like the old FedEx did, and the pay scale is much less. On top of that, no more corporate benefits . You get what you pay for. The new CEO of the company, decided that shareholders and dividends were more important than the type of workforce that Fedex stood on for all these years.
Now for the solution… I myself had so many packages being missed delivered that I literally was losing my mind over it. I would be wandering the neighborhood trying to find my packages. Fedex, the new Fedex, could care less and their system of supporting these encounters is useless. So, I decided that I would file a claim for every single package that was not delivered to my house with proof of delivery to my door. After nearly 2 months and well into the thousands of dollars, finally, my packages started showing up and are put in the same exact spot every single day. All of those claims added up to a lot of loss for somebody. I’m guessing it made its way up the ladder to someone at Fedex and they had to put a stop to it. I am very happy with my current Fedex driver. He seems to know who I am as he should since I get packages delivered nearly every Day. It’s too bad I had to go to that drastic of a measure, but in the end, it worked for me.
