Just wanted to put this out there as I'm sure it's been asked before but I have just started with this group.  I ride in a sensation treeless saddle and have used the skito pad for quite sometime.  I would like to switch this as my pad is the old style without the wither clearance.  I was looking at either the equipedic pad  or the matrix pad with the performance inserts with woolback underneath.  Booth have pretty good reviews but wondering if there is anything else I should look at?  I will only use natural materials on the underside of the horse, no synthetic, my horses do not do synthetic well.

Any feedback with anyone who has used any of these saddle pads would be greatly appreciated or any other saddle pad suggestion...

Thanking you in advance,

K

I've used both on treeless saddles and greatly prefer the Toklat pad with Matrix Pro Impact inserts because they maintain their uniformity under all conditions and imo, handle 175 pound rider much better.  The Matrix Pro Impact seem very durable, too.

If you are generally happy with your Skito pad (other than the wither clearance) then you might want to order a new pad with the wither clearance.  Skito will make a pad in any style you want.

You can probably resell the Skito pad that you are not so happy with.  In fact, I am looking for a pad that has low wither clearance.  Email a photo of your pad to me and I might be interested in it.

We have had Tom make up a super-peaked skito pad for the Bob Marshall
saddles; they don't have the the cutback notch and do stay peaked up
much better than the old style.....
