Renegade Boots at State Fair Express?

Anyone going to the State Fair Express experienced in putting on the Renegade Hoof Boots? I have a pair but uncertain on how to tighten them just right and all that. Right now we're planning on attending the State Fair Express, haven't ridden it before, unless something unexpected changes our plans.
