Please share info regarding anything you've come up with to spread composted manure with a riding mower/spreader combo. This is endurance related because my endurance horses produce loads of sh.....t. 😜

These work great for smaller barns! Easy to pull behind a riding mower.

I use a little lawn tractor and tow a steel drag behind it. I bought the drag from Tractor Supply, it's 4' x 4' and it has tines that can be used three ways - turn the drag upside down (so no tines at all) to drag manure, right side up with the tines pointing forward for aggressive dragging/tilling, and pointing backward for less aggressive smoothing, fluffing of say, an arena. I keep mine with the tines on top, doing nothing - it drags and spreads the manure better that way.

I tried saving money by using a chain link gate with weight on top (tried a tire, some cinder blocks) but it didn't do nearly as good a job.

When I bought mine years ago, it cost about $165. Someone told me they have gotten expensive, well above $200 now...I'm not sure though.

Oh shoot, disregard my post. I missed the word "composted" in the original question. I thought she just wanted to drag the manure in her pasture. :(

We have one of these: Fimco 25 Bushel Manure Spreader MS-25BU

We pull it behind our lawn tractor and it works well. It's kind of spendy though, we found ours pre-owned, but never used for about 1/2 the list price.

Jackie, the one you show is for spreading daily, right? Not for stored compost? The Fimco requires very little HP--a good thing in my case-not thrilled with maintenance requirements but that might be a fact of life.
Anyone used the "Rotary Manure Spreader"? www.thestablers.com

Daily, although, I have a friend who uses hers to clean up her paddocks on a semi-regular basis, weekly in summertime. My sister in law has one she pulls behind her electric golf cart. I know she has taken her beater bars out for spreading sand, not sure how that worked.

I've used the Newr Spreaders for several years now.  I've spread fresh manure as well as composted.  Worked fine in both situations and boy did that composted manure do wonders for my pastures!  The only problem I've found is that you can't put  a lot of soiled hay in it.  It clogs badly in that situation.
