OK - just heard back on xray results that I have a small fracture to the sacrum. Waiting to get aptmt to ortho, but of course I need to know the most important thing right now:
How long before I can start riding again?
So I know we've got all kinds of medical histories out there. Anyone have a similar exp and can tell me how long before you could get on a horse again?
Cindy - thoroughly bummed and dejected....sigh |

Well, I did the last 25 miles of a 50 with a fractured sacrum (confirmed with xrays after the ride). It was certainly, um, less than pleasant. =) But it was only my third 50 and I REALLY wanted to finish!! We turtled as I could pretty much only walk from then on. =) Going to the Dr's two days later and hearing the nurse say "Oh my God!" when she saw my bruises nearly made it worth it. It makes for a good story at least. ;)Get a good chiropractor. My tailbone needed to be manipulated back into place once the swelling went down to finally help alleviate some of the symptoms.
