EMSA SWG on Medical Specialties

Dear EMSAi,

After a long wait, I’m happy to announce that we are ready to launch the call for the EMSA Small Working Group on Medical Specialties.

This group will work over the next months leading up to the Autumn Assembly 2025 with the goal of designing, launching, and publishing the results of a comprehensive European Medical Specialty Survey. The goal of this initiative is to uncover what medical students across Europe truly aspire to when it comes to specialty choice.

This data will form the basis of the first EMSA White Book on Medical Specialties, that will help visualise the evolving trends, preferences, and educational impacts on future doctors across Europe.

If you are passionate about medical education, policy, data analysis, or simply want to contribute to one of EMSA’s flagship projects, we invite you to join us.
