What is this position?
The Medical Education Liaison Officer (MELO) position is responsible for the external relations of the Medical Education Pillar. MELO is an integral part of the EMSA Department of External Affairs, as they are representing EMSA and medical students in Europe to Medical Education stakeholders. What you will gain from this position
By being the EMSA MELO, you will have a really unique role as you will be the one that is going to represent medical students in Europe and what we want out of our Medical Education. You will take part in external meetings and you will be able to make our student voice heard. You will work with experts in the Medical Education field that will help you grow and realise more about student involvement.
What else you need to know about the position
According to the EMSA Internal Rules, the position falls under the category of Appointed Officers in EMSA and therefore you will be appointed by the EMSA Executive Board.
Your term will last from November 1st, 2025 until 31st October, 2026. The handover period with the current MELO will last from September 2025 until the end of this term (31st October, 2025).

Curriculum Vitae, stating your involvement in EMSA and student representation (max 2 pages);
Motivational Letter stating the reasons you want to apply (max 1 and a half page) ;
Plan of Action (can be combined with motivational letter);
EMSA Certificate signed by your Local Coordinator (make sure that the name of the signatory is also written).
