Three ELCA well published authors joined together for new congregational resource. It can be freely downloaded today Thursday,December 31st; and also Tue, Jan 5th; Wed, Jan 6th (Ephipany); and finally Tue, Jan 19th. PLEASE HELP GET THE WORD OUT....

During the past year; Dave Daubert, Eric Burtness, and I have been writing a book (and supporting resources) that can be used as an alternative to “Alpha” program for congregational new members. We felt such a resource was needed in our congregations. Each of us have written numerous books (and Lenten series) for Augsburg-Fortress and have helped design church-wide congregational resources. Recent studies indicate that new members who participate in an educational series are more likely to stay and help revitalize the congregation. “Alpha” is considered a dated series and many churches have theological concerns about it’s content.

Meta-Moments is designed to be used with new members and/or part of a congregational Lenten series (common lectionary, narrative, or thematic series). There is media and music support. There are questions & prayers at end of each chapter to facilitate small group ministries.

The Meta-Moments website has comprehensive resources for preaching & teaching. It’s also a Lenten Series ready for your use. Meta-Moments is immediately available from Kindle at www.Amazon.com (free for Kindle Unlimited) or can be ordered with significant discount for whole congregational use.

Wishing you a Joyous New Year...
In Christ,
