I have been getting my ecunet mail forwarded to my regular email address which was chuck.l...@eastlink.ca.  I recently changed my email addres to chuck.l...@bellaliant.net

It has been perhaps two years since I have looked at the ecunet website.  When I tried to go there to change my email forwarding address everything has changed to google+.  Nothing is familiar and I can't see how to change my forwarding address.  Can you help?  Please reply to chuck.l...@bellaliant.net  since I am not receiving my ecunet mail.  My ecunet username is CHARLES_LOCKHART.

Thanks,

Chuck

I've lost a favorite meeting -- "Let's Go To the Movies."  Can't find it anywhere; can anyone tell me how to access it again?

Do you use the webpage, too?  I get everything delivered to my email.

Hi Houston, it came up right away when I did a search in the web interface. There’s a search box at the top of the screen. I suggest pressing the little star to mark that group as a “Favorite.” Then it will appear in the left-hand navigation.

Warm regards, Paul

I guess I don't understand why people keep using the website.  Seems a whole lot easier just to get the emails delivered.  Takes a little doing to set up each group to do that at the beginning, but after that it's simple.

Excellent an' exotic Val: may your summertime be lazy an' hazy!
Well, I never. . . . Dear soul allows as how I might be "people," so I guess it's a small concession. Beloved of the Lord, let us draw near and make confession before Almighty God: some of us people #1, are not lazy, and #2, some of us are not hazy about hoping to be in charge of our own inboxes. Will that do? If not, I've an indisputable #3, in store. Some of us still walk two blocks in this "city" to the post office to collect our mail at the postmistress' window (when we cannot remember what we did with the key to our POB).

I guess Val might be termed "exotic" -- she's certainly not lazy.  I also get my Ecunet stuff sent to me via email.  It not only comes in a separate inbox from the rest of my email, it also comes in separate folders, one for each of the groups (which I persist in thinking of as "meetings", thereby showing my age I suspect).

Oh, but Lois, I am lazy!  And I still think of the groups as "meetings," also.

Actually the last set of statistics I saw on how people use Ecunet showed a substantial majority of users are email only. I probably log onto the the web interface once or twice a year and that is only to perform some meeting administrative duties.

Dear Val \ Lois: May the dog days of summertime water your roses!

"Group?" "Groups?" What in the world? What would that be? Ecunet, if I remember aright, has meetings. What's this "groups" you ladies chat about?

What we call "meetings" Google calls "Groups."

Greetings in summertime, dear Lois!
Who would know? I've noticed, kindness of Paul, that Ecunet is hosted by "google," but I never did ask for or approve the church giving it up. . . , if, or in so far as, it ever "had" Ecunet in the first place. I've never looked in the "google" for anything other than where it offers on my "home page" a search for stuff opportunity. Sorry to be so parochial, but I do not need or want "groups" or "sets" or anything mathematical any more.

I suppose I ought thank you for the info I really didn't want. Well, some more trivia to clutter a densely packed bunch of circuits. . . , it would be nice to forget that some call a "meeting" a "group." TY for the news!  You are too kind.

May this summertime bring you blessings in light, gentle, frequent showers,

Probably the next time I need to go there to do something I won't have a clue how to, because of the changes.

SEPTEMBER 12

I use the website and visit almost daily.

Usually, messages appear the day sent.  However, for Ecunet Help I just received 12 posts from Aug 7-9.  Strange

Hi Peg, not sure what you’re using for the status of new notes, but the most reliable method I have found is to build a list of my favorite groups in the left-hand column by using the star symbol to mark that group as a favorite. Then you should be able to scan your list of groups and see which ones have new entries (you should see the note count, and the group name should be bold when you have new note(s) waiting).  It’s possible you just overlooked the Ecunet Help group for a while.

Let me know if oddities persist.

Warm regards, Paul

Paul --

Not a problem.  I just thought it was strange.  This morning though I figured out it was not an Ecunet problem.

I do have my favorites marked and can easily see where there are new postings (love this feature).  HOWEVER, about a month ago I had some internet problems ... all my saved settings were removed.  The percent Zoom level was changed (larger) and I simply was not seeing all of my favorites ... had to scroll down.  I have now changed the zoom level!!!
