Missing PubMed ID?

Hello,

I have an article with a PMC ID: PMC11614110. I know there are articled that are only indexed in PMC but for the journal (Acta Crystallographica Section F) I would normally expect a PubMed ID as well. However, running a query on the article API returns only the PMC ID.

Am I missing something?

Dear Melanie,

It appears that, despite the journal’s inclusion in PubMed’s index, this particular article was never assigned a PMID. As a result, no PubMed   identifier exists in either PubMed or on the PMC record (see https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11614110/).
The underlying cause is unknown to us; only PubMed can provide an explanation for why this entry was omitted.
