bulk abstract download

Dear Europe PMC,

I checked and the last post was from a few years ago and I was wondering if there was an option to bulk download abstracts? I know I can use the search functionality using the REST api but I am not sure yet what the best search criteria will be so I thought it would be easier to crawl it for now.

Hi Jasper,

Thanks for following up. The situation is still the same as in the earlier post. There’s no full bulk download of abstracts available.
You can access abstracts via the REST API as you mentioned (rate limits apply: max 10 requests/sec and 500/min), and bulk downloads are only possible for preprints at the moment.
