Europe PMC API Usage for Web Service

Hi,

My team and I are currently developing a web service that plans to utilize the Europe PMC API. We have a few questions regarding the terms of usage and technical limits of the API:

1) Commercial Use: 

Can we use the Europe PMC API in a commercial web service? Are there any restrictions or licensing requirements we should be aware of for commercial purposes?  

2) API Cost:

Is the API completely free to use, or are there any associated costs? 

3) Rate Limits: 

We understand that the API has a rate limit of 10 requests per second (or 500 requests per minute). Is this limit applied per server, or does it extend to multiple users accessing the API via the same server?

We greatly appreciate your assistance in clarifying these points .

1) Commercial Use: 

Europe PMC APIs can be used in a commercial web service. All of the material (e.g. publications) available through Europe PMC is provided by the respective publishers or authors and as such is protected by copyright laws. You can find further information here: https://europepmc.org/copyright.

2) API Cost:

The API is completely free to use.

3) Rate Limits: 

The API limit is applied per IP address.
