FTP updates

Hi all,

first, thanks for Europe PMC. I have been using Europe PMC for a project for about a year now ([0] and links therein), first the API, but since last week the FTP website. I note that the FTP website's last update is from March.

But I want to ask about the files. Can I expect .xml.gz files from March to change in the next update? If so, I was wondering if there is a way to list the md5 sums for all files, so that I have a fast, efficient way to see which files have been updated (without downloading them all)?

Hi Egon,

FTP snapshots haven't been updated due to infrastructure maintenance that is still in progress. The file might change unfortunately. We will look into a way of providing md5 sums and will keep you posted.
