Hello,

I am looking at PMC ID PMC12663261 and there are a few issues that I have observed.
  • All of the "gene_protein" annotations are linked to the wrong species
  • "NgBR" is linked to UniProt P51666 and Q994J8 but should be Q86SQ9
  • DHDDS is missed entirely
  • in order to navigate through the annotation list I have to reload the page frequently as the list becomes unresponsive
  • loading of PDB structures is slow
  • pop-ups on the annotations side-bar disappear quickly and contained links can't be clicked
Thank you

Melanie

Dear Melanie,

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to report these issues.

We have reviewed the annotations for PMC12663261 and can confirm that the problems you’ve highlighted—particularly the incorrect gene/protein mappings (including NgBR), missing annotations (such as DHDDS, although this was detected once) are known limitations in the current annotation pipeline.

In particular, the system can occasionally struggle with:

  • Correct species disambiguation for gene/protein entities
  • Accurate linking of closely related or similarly named proteins
  • Consistent recognition across different term variants (e.g., full names vs abbreviations)

We are actively working on improving these areas, including refining entity disambiguation and reducing incorrect mappings. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us prioritise and validate these enhancements.

Kind regards,

Santosh
