End of the COVID-19 preprints project for Europe PMC

Dear all,

Due to the end of the funding period, the COVID-19 preprints project will soon be drawing to a close. COVID-19 preprints posted on or after 1 November 2023 will no longer be made available as full text in Europe PMC. New versions of COVID-19 preprints posted on or after this date will not be made available as full text in Europe PMC. Abstracts and metadata for COVID-19 preprints from arXiv and SSRN will no longer be added to the Europe PMC website. 

Note that recently Europe PMC has added all COVID-19 preprints from Authorea, Preprints.org, SciELO Preprints and PsyArXiv to the full text preprint collection. The existing COVID-19 preprint subset of nearly 74,000 preprints will remain freely accessible through the Europe PMC website and web services for future reuse and analyses.

Although the COVID-19 preprints project has ended, Europe PMC will continue indexing full text for Europe PMC funder preprints, as well as abstracts from 30 life science preprint servers, with new servers added in the near future.
