API for Downloading Citations in BiBTeX, RIS and XML

Hi,

I am trying to mirror the `select format and export` functionality that Europe PMC provides with their `get citation` pop-over. I understand that I can get the textual citation by querying the general search endpoint and specifying the format as `dc`, but I wasn't able to find how to download / get this citation in XML, RIS and BiBTeX formats.

Do you have an exposed endpoint for doing that?

Hi Yusra,

Thanks for your question.

We do not provide any public API that allows user to get the citation data in the formats available in the  `get citation` pop-over. 

The only API available is the fullTextXML ( https://www.ebi.ac.uk/europepmc/webservices/rest/PMC3257301/fullTextXML ) to get the XML (open access full text) for open access articles only .

All other formats are obtained through some ad hoc transformation applied to the data coming from the API search method. This sort of transformation is happening on the fly in our web site application.
