Virtual Instructor Workshop: The Math Your Earth Science Majors Need
Mon-Thur July 14-17, 2025
Online 1-3 pm ET daily
Quantitatively skilled Earth science and geophysics graduates are critical to meeting the needs of the workforce and the country. This virtual workshop will introduce Earth science instructors to co-curricular math and statistics modules and work with instructors to develop implementation plans for using the materials during the 2025-26 academic year.
–Registration fee $40 (deadline June 14 but may fill sooner)
–Participants* will receive $400 stipends upon the completion of the virtual workshop
Audience: Primarily current undergraduate instructors, but graduate students and postdocs interested in undergraduate teaching, are also welcome.
*To receive these funds, participants must be a US citizen, a permanent resident, or in the employ of a US institution.
