Are you a researcher who would like to begin working with seafloor geodetic data to get precise positioning and ultimately seafloor movements and deformation?

Please consider participating in our new short-course designed to prepare scientists to process GNSS-Acoustic data that is associated with the Near-Trench Community Experiment.   For asynchronous training, material is planned to be included at seafloorgeodesy.org following the short-course.

Learning Goals:

  • Building strong understanding of GNSS-Acoustics for precise point positioning with a focus on the newly collected data associated with the Community Experiment, including:
    • Deployment strategies
    • Instrument operations
    • Data collection and standards
    • Data access
    • Processing data using the new GNATSS software
  • Network with other researchers who share common interests

Target Audience:  Graduate students and more senior researchers that are new to seafloor geodesy processing

When:  August 7-8, 2025

Where: Georgia Tech, Atlanta Georgia

Travel Support: Limited travel and lodging support is available.

How to apply:  Complete the application form by June 13th. We expect to be able to support travel and lodging for 12 individuals, but expect to accept more with limited or without funds.
