Join a mission with global impact! The University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Wilson Alaska Technical Center (WATC) is seeking a Seismo-Acoustic Engineer to support a worldwide network of seismic and infrasound stations critical to nuclear treaty monitoring and geophysical research.

At WATC you will work alongside talented scientists and engineers to design, maintain, and enhance advanced seismo-acoustic monitoring stations operating in some of the planet’s most extreme environments, from Alaska and Antarctica to remote islands. This role offers hands-on fieldwork, cutting-edge instrumentation, and the opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful and fulfilling work.

We are looking for a motivated problem-solver with strong technical skills, a passion for field operations, and a collaborative mindset. In return, UAF offers competitive benefits, professional growth, and the chance to be part of a globally impactful program.

If you’re ready to build, deploy, and innovate at the leading edge of geophysical monitoring, apply here.
