Open graduate positions in Seismic Imaging at New Mexico Tech and Purdue University

Dear colleagues,

We invite applications for two funded graduate positions in seismic imaging to study volcanic variability along the Cascadia Arc. One student will join the Computational Seismology and Tectonics group at Purdue University under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Delph and one will join the Seismology group at New Mexico Tech under the direction of Dr. Daniel Portner in a collaborative, cohort-based research project.

Applicants with strong interest in seismology, volcano imaging and/or tectonics are encouraged to contact Daniel (daniel....@nmt.edu) and/or Jonathan (jde...@purdue.edu) to discuss qualifications and research objectives prior to applying.

Target start date: August 2026 (preferred) or January 2027
