Postdoctoral Position in AI and Seismology – UC Berkeley

Dear Colleagues,

The research group AI4EPS at the Department of Earth and Planetary Science, University of California, Berkeley, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on AI/ML methods for seismology and earthquake science.

Our group pursues research at the intersection of deep learning and seismology and develops widely adopted open-source machine learning models. Candidates will have access to Berkeley Seismological Laboratory's computing infrastructure and seismological datasets, and join a collaborative environment at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Candidates are expected to have:
- PhD (or expected) in geophysics, computer science, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience in deep learning with demonstrated publications or projects
- Ability to work independently and communicate results effectively
