We are recruiting a Senior Researcher, Researcher, or Researcher (II) to engage in the following research project.

[Research Description]
Submarine volcanology involves pioneering research due to the limited opportunities available to observe submarine volcanoes compared to land volcanoes. We are currently seeking a researcher with an interest in submarine volcanoes, particularly one who can offer cross-disciplinary perspectives and innovative approaches. The successful candidate will be expected to develop skills that can be applied to volcanic research. We also hope to contribute to the work undertaken by The Headquarters for Volcanic Research Promotion established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan.

The successful candidate will:
(1) Conduct research on marine volcanoes through the application of volcanology, geophysics, and other methods;
(2) Actively develop methods required for (1); and
(3) Develop new marine volcanology approaches through cross-disciplinary perspectives and active promotion of collaborative research.
