The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in data science, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences or a closely related field by the date of employment. Candidates working across disciplinary boundaries or in emerging areas of Earth and environmental sciences are encouraged to apply. The individual hired will be expected to teach courses in data science as applied to Earth and environmental sciences and contribute to the curriculum in Earth and environmental Sciences at the graduate and undergraduate levels, establish an internationally recognized externally funded research program, participate in departmental, college, and university service, and contribute to inclusion efforts towards A Lehigh for Everyone (please see link and full ad for all details).
