The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville MD is looking to hire a Senior Hydrologist to provide technical, programmatic, and project leadership focused on new reactor siting  safety reviews.  Join a team of multi-hazard experts in NRC’s Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. The desired candidate has a focus on risk-informed approaches such as probabilistic flood hazard analysis, probabilistic risk assessments, graded approaches, and other innovations for the changing size and technologies of new reactor applications. This position also covers safety reviews related to the operating fleet of reactors and other facilities and includes leadership of NRC’s Dam Safety Program.
