Postdoctoral Position in Seismology at the University of Missouri–Columbia

[Liu, Chuanming]

The Seismology Group in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Missouri–Columbia is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on seismic imaging projects with Dr. Chuanming Liu. The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed for an additional year of contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Our research focuses on seismic anisotropy imaging to constrain dynamic processes in subduction zones, large-scale fault systems, and Antarctic regions. We also conduct seismic monitoring and develop machine learning approaches for seismic imaging.

Qualifications:

* Ph.D. in geophysics (completed or expected soon)

* Strong hands-on experience in seismology, demonstrated through publications and/or research projects

* Ability to work independently and communicate results effectively
