The School of Geosciences at the University of South Florida (USF) invites applications for a
Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction or Visting Assistant Instructor for the
2025–2026 academic year, beginning August 2025. This is a one-year appointment with the
possibility of renewal.
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging educator to teach undergraduate courses in
Structural Geology and Geocomputation. Instructional support will be provided, including access to existing teaching materials and guidance from experienced faculty.
Minimum Qualifications:

An M.S. in Geology or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.

Demonstrated ability or potential to teach undergraduate-level geoscience courses effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Geology or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.

Experience teaching Structural Geology and/or computational geoscience topics.

A commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices.
