Dear colleagues,

following the devastating Mw 7.7 earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025, the Journal of Seismology stands in solidarity with all those affected. In line with similar initiatives, we are contributing to the scientific response by offering our editorial platform to disseminate research related to this event.

To this end, we are launching a Special Collection to gather research contributions that enhance the understanding of this major seismic event.

- All submissions will receive high-priority handling to ensure timely dissemination of findings.
- Once accepted, articles will be made widely accessible—either as Open Access or through Free-trial-Access (FTA) for a limited period.

In addition, previously published articles in the Journal of Seismology that are relevant to the Myanmar earthquake will be included in a dedicated thematic collection, and made widely accessible under the same conditions.
