Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the “Passive Imaging and Monitoring in Wave Physics: From Seismology to Ultrasound (Asia-Pacific)” Summer School, which will be held on July 5–11, 2026, in Dali, Yunnan Province, China.

This international summer school is part of the long-running “Passive Imaging and Monitoring in Wave Physics: From Seismology to Ultrasound” series initiated by Université Grenoble Alpes and brings together students, early-career researchers, and senior scientists working on passive imaging, ambient noise, and weak-signal monitoring across seismology and related fields.

Topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Ambient noise and diffuse wavefields

  • Seismic imaging and monitoring

  • Machine learning in seismology

  • Environmental seismology and new sensors

  • Oceanic and atmospheric seismology

  • Interdisciplinary applications

The program will feature invited lectures, tutorials, and ample time for discussion and interaction. We especially encourage graduate students and early-career researchers to apply.
