Dear All (apologies for cross-posting),

The next General Assembly of EGU will be held next 03-08 May, in Vienna.
This year again, we are happy to organize a multidisciplinary session NH5.1 on tsunami science, and we are glad to invite you to submit an abstract, no later than 15 January 2026, 13:00 CET.
Please keep in mind that the deadline for support applications is on 1 December 2025, 13:00 CET.

In this session we propose to address various topics on tsunamis, from observation data, physical processes, to numerical modeling, including socio-economic and operational aspects. We also welcome submissions on tsunamis generated by a variety of mechanisms, including earthquakes, landslides, volcanic activity and atmospheric disturbances; contributions about the 2025 Kamchatka earthquake and tsunami are especially encouraged as they are expected to provide valuable insights for advancing research and improving preparedness strategies.

All details can be found there:
Don’t forget to check the various rules and policies to submit your abstract https://www.egu26.eu/authors/how-to-submit.html

Best regards,
Fabrizio, Helene, Didem, Rachid and Jadranka
