Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a three-day workshop on “Seafloor Pressure Data: Bridging Geophysics and Physical Oceanography,” to be held April 29–May 1, 2026, at GEOMAR in Kiel, Germany, just before EGU 2026 (May 3-8, 2026).
The workshop aims to bring together geophysicists and physical oceanographers interested in exploring seafloor pressure observations for studying processes such as tectonic deformation, ocean circulation and waves, and sea-level variability. We also welcome contributions on other types of seafloor observations where there are synergies between geophysics and oceanography, such as acoustic ranging methods and distributed acoustic sensing (DAS). The meeting will include invited talks, discussion sessions, and opportunities to develop collaborative projects.
Limited travel support will be available, with priority given to early-career researchers.
Please save the date for this event, and further details, including registration and abstract submission information, will be shared soon.
We look forward to your participation in this exciting interdisciplinary event in Kiel.
