[LACSC 2026] Update on abstract submission and grant application

Dear Colleagues:

Please remember that the deadline for submitting abstracts for the VI LACSC Assembly 2026 has been extended to Wednesday, March 18. The steps to submit your abstract are as follows:

1. Register on the Assembly website: https://lacsc2026.enesmorelia.unam.mx/registro. If you are creating your account for the first time, you will receive an email to validate the email address you registered.
2. Payment for the abstract on the website: https://smis.org.mx/lacsc/. The payment site belongs to the Mexican Society for Earthquake Engineering (SMIS), our partner in organizing the LACSC Assembly. If you do not require an invoice for tax purposes, please mark the fields that do not apply to you with an "X". Remember to save a screenshot of your payment or the PDF of the email you received. You can pay with your credit or debit card, via PayPal, or by bank transfer.
3. Submit your abstract at the following link: https://lacsc2026.enesmorelia.unam.mx/login. You will need to upload the proof of payment.

If you encounter any problems during the process, please don't hesitate to contact us. Copy your message to lacs...@enesmorelia.unam.mx.

If you are a student or an early-career scientist, after registering your abstract, you can submit your scholarship application at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeqOiz-FQAY5yK94a9nf2xkan0CetAyYi8ETx9U3NXnBTdYGQ/viewform. You must attach some proof of your academic standing, and a letter from your advisor to your application if you are a student. The deadline is this Friday, March 20.
