Dear EarthScope Community:

As we are getting ready for our Board of Directors elections, we encourage more nominations. The nomination portal on our governance (https://www.earthscope.org/about/governance/) is always open. This page shows the current members, their terms, and, at the bottom, a link for self-nominations or nominations of others. You can nominate yourself or someone you think would help us with our mission, vision, and charges at any time.

Board nominations will be considered each year by our Board Nomination Committee, which selects a balanced election slate. Elections are conducted in the fall. Any nominations not advanced in a given year will be rolled to subsequent years.

We really want to make sure that as the facilities and the Consortium grow and evolve, to maintain our deep and rich interactions with our community. This means a central role for Advisory and Governance bodies, and an urgent need for your participation. Please consider getting involved or convincing your colleagues to do so!

The nomination committee will meet soon to discuss all the candidates. So please submit your (self-)nomination this week!

EarthScope Board Nomination Committee (Karen Fischer, Jeffrey Freymueller, Marino Protti, and S. Shawn Wei)

Best,
Shawn
