Applications close on June 22 for the 2026 Near-Surface Geophysics Community Input Workshop!

The deadline is approaching to submit your application to attend the 2026 Near-Surface Geophysics Community Input Workshop, held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 25 & 26. 

This in-person workshop aims to bring the near-surface geophysics community together to shape future science support and collaboration. Sponsored by the NSF National Geophysical Facility (operated by EarthScope), the workshop is jointly planned by multiple organizations involved in near-surface geophysics (NSF NGF, CTEMPs, OpenTopography, NHERI, CUAHSI, and AGU Near-Surface Geophysics Section).

What to Know

  • Workshop attendance will be determined by application. Attendees must be US citizens, US residents, or at a US-based institution. The target audience is college/university faculty and other professionals involved in Earth and environmental science and engineering. Late-stage PhD students will also be considered.
  • All accepted attendees are eligible for travel support in the form of hotel accommodations and a plane flight.
  • Applications due by June 22.
