Dear Colleagues
I am writing to you to ask if you might organize a VGP session proposal for the Fall 2026 meeting. This year, we are trying a repeat of our experiment from last year. We have decided that there will be at least 16 base sessions that would be inclusive of most
themes that VGP members are engaged with. The purpose of this approach is to ensure that members have VGP sessions to submit to that align with their research without hoping that someone has organized a session. This is a basic list that will capture topics
in VGP that have community interest, but that may not have a lead organizer. This effort is not meant to discourage organic organization and submission of session proposals. We encourage members to submit proposals directly to AGU on any relevant topic by
April 22.
If you are interested in helping to organize one of these base sessions, what do you need to do?
Step 1: Fill out this form indicating your interest in a specific base session by April 9th:
Step 2: We will reach out to you and then you submit a session proposal to the AGU system with the topic title as noted in the form by April 22nd.
