Dear community,
We are looking for volunteers to join the Standard & Copy-editing team at Seismica.
If you don't know Seismica yet: Seismica is a community-led Diamond Open Access journal publishing original, peer-reviewed research in seismology and earthquake science. Articles are free to publish, and free to read. This publishing model is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers.
The S&CE team is at the heart of Seismica’s operations: we copy-edit, format, proofread, and manage papers from acceptance to publication, working closely with handling editors and authors.
If you’re interested in helping to shape open scientific publishing, reading exciting new research (very carefully), and getting experience in scientific editing, join us! You’ll find more details about the role and application process here.
We recommend applying before the end of December. New recruits will start in early 2026.
