Join us next week (Thursday, March 19) at 12-1PM MT for a talk by Zhiang Chen of Arizona State University.

Robotics for Geoscience: More Data, New Analyses

Machine learning has revolutionized data processing, yet collecting large datasets for its application in earthquake science remains a challenge. This talk introduces the use of robotics to automate data collection, a crucial step toward automating and advancing geoscience research. Dr. Chen will present three cases where integrating robotics and machine learning opens new avenues for tectonics, fault zone characterization, and fragile geological feature analysis.
