jSEDI is a Diamond Open Access Journal (DOAJ) designed for the direct
exchange of our scientific work run solely by our community for our
community. The utility of jSEDI depends on a critical mass of high
quality submissions, objective and diligent editors, and a positive

building jSEDI to fit the deep Earth community's needs.

DOAJs are completely free for both authors and readers, and are
entirely controlled and operated by the community. jSEDI is operated
on the publishing platform (

the French government, utilizes an "overlay" format in which all
documents and data are hosted on permanent publicly supported archives
(Arxiv, HAL, Zenodo, etc.).
As a community driven journal, we welcome your comments and input.
Inquiries made using the “contact” link at the bottom of the jSEDI
website will go to those listed as “Chief editor” on the Editorial
Board list (
