Dear colleagues,

The Kentucky Geological Survey and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Kentucky are pleased to announce that applications are now open for a postdoctoral researcher in seismology. The postdoctoral scholar will support ongoing research in environmental seismology, including detections of extreme-weather events and subsurface changes, in the seismic zones that affect Kentucky, or their global analogs, and with near-surface imaging for neo-tectonic investigations and other site-specific characterizations. The scholar will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of experts and build an independent research program in seismology.

More information about this opportunity is available at the following link: https://ukjobs.uky.edu/postings/595840. Please feel free to share the link with anyone you think might be interested in this position.

The application deadline is September 10, 2025.

Best regards,

Seth Carpenter and Ed Woolery
