We are hosting a virtual "Research Showcase" in place of a traditional poster session at the 2026 NSF NGF Community Science Conference. Anyone who registers for the conference will have the opportunity to share their work with attendees in an interactive online format. Presentations will be in the form of a video recording (YouTube upload) or Google Slides, with dedicated chat features for synchronous or asynchronous conversations.
For this format, we recommend keeping videos to 3 minutes or less in length, and Google Slide presentations to a maximum of 5 slides. If you'd like to present with a video (which we highly recommend!), check out our new guide for tips and suggestions for free software tools you can use.
After registering for the conference, please complete and submit this form by May 12 with your presentation information to participate in the Research Showcase.
Want further ways to connect with colleagues? Join our extra interactive session “Positive Takeaways from Negative Results” on May 27 at 3 pm ET.
Negative results are often key to moving your research forward, but they receive little attention in publications and presentations. Let's change that! This informal session of short talks provides an opportunity to learn and commiserate. Have you hit a scientific dead end that was actually really fascinating? Or did you make a mistake with entertaining (at least in hindsight) consequences? Consider sharing your story in this session. We'll have a small gift for all the presenters.
Sign up to present in this session through the conference registration form by May 12.
