2027 US & Chile Exchange Program - Host Registration Now Open!

SZNet, the international collaboration component of SZ4D, is launching its fourth and final edition of the US & Chile Exchange Program.
What is the US & Chile Exchange Program?The program supports students and early-career scientists (within 3 years of their most recent degree) based in the U.S. and Chile to conduct a one-month research visit at a partner institution in the other country, fostering international collaborations and expanding research opportunities.
Calling Potential HostsWe invite scientists based at U.S. and Chilean academic institutions, government agencies, non-profits, industry, and other organizations to host a visiting researcher for a project related to subduction zone geohazards.FundingSZNet will provide participant support for travel, meals, and lodging, with funding available for up to 6 participants through the National Science Foundation AccelNet program (award 2301732).Host registration is now open through July 1, 2026 and takes less than 10 minutes.
