2-year Post-Doc at INGV-Bologna and University of Bologna on Hydrothermal-Induced Ground Deformation

Dear Colleagues,
We're excited to announce a 24-month Post-doc fellowship at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, (INGV) Bologna, Italy. This role is part of the HYDROVOLC project (PI: Federico Di Traglia, INGV-Napoli), an INGV-funded project within the context of "Pianeta Dinamico" research effort. Specifically the position will contribute to HYDROVOLC's WP5: "Hydrothermal-Induced Ground Deformation", led by Eleonora Rivalta (Bologna University). The research will focus on modeling the interaction between magmatic and hydrothermal processes and their associated signals, with particular attention to ground deformation and gravity changes. The application deadline is June 13, 2026, at 23:59.
The position is based at INGV-Bologna, in close collaboration with INGV-Napoli (Osservatorio Vesuviano), Bologna University, and other national and international partners.
