I am excited to announce that our pause is over and we are making Teachable Moment presentations again!
We have created a presentation for the upcoming 60th anniversary of the 1964 M 9.2 Alaska earthquake. This M 9.2 remains the most powerful earthquake ever recorded in North America, and the second most powerful earthquake ever recorded in the world. Shaking from this earthquake caused ground fissures, collapsing structures, and tsunamis resulting in 131 deaths.
Teachable Moments are a service of EarthScope Consortium and the University of Portland.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact us!
Best wishes,
Tammy
